The main purpose of this site is to act as an online archive of music, so we want as much as our visitors are able to donate. We only have two requirements when accepting music:
1. The music is copyright free (in the public domain)
2. The music must be of satisfactory quality
If you have read and accept the two above requirements, then choose a submission method below.
Currently, we have only a few volunteers, any help is much appreciated. We are looking for the following types of help.
Musopen Supporter
A supporter is anyone willing to devote some time to support this project.
Supporter - Someone interested in obtaining music donations for the site. This can mean posting flyers, emailing music organizations, google searching, anything you can think of.
Librarian - Sort of like a librarian. The archiver verifies that the short biographies inlcuded with the music is kept up to date and accurate. Really, this means looking for obvious errors, adding or removing information, or comparing to what's available on wikipedia. A biography is kept for each composer, so work is not duplicated.
Copyright Researcher - Don't worry, you don't need to be a lawyer, but it would help. We can always use some help organizing and explaining public domain law to our visitors. This volunteer would be in charge of that information, making it as organized and as simple as possible.

Technical Developer
For the technically inclined, we need all kinds of web design, MySQL, and programming work.
Web Developer - Musopen is an international resource, and should be translated for the top 3 visiting countries.
Database manager / PHP - Know MySQL or PHP? This person would be in charge of managing and maintaining our main database, making sure things are running smoothly.
